Both of those title changes ruined the championship reigns of Owens and Wyatt just for the enjoyment of a quick pop. Vince McMahon booked Goldberg to topple WWE's Universal Champion, Kevin Owens, then did it again against "The Fiend" just before WrestleMania 36. Fans have seen Vince's booking philosophy favoring Bill Goldberg on more than one occasion. Regrettably, this short-term booking isn't exclusive to Otis.

His comedic character may serve him well as a mid-card contender, but against Braun Strowman, Otis will need a great deal more credibility to compete with "The Monster Among Men." Unfortunately, it seems all too likely that Vince McMahon never even considered any of this and went for the sheer shock value of Otis' victory instead. He's inexplicably been removed from the Tag Team Division and put into singles competition, but has yet to even compete for a single mid-card title, let alone win one. While shocking moments can keep the WWE Universe on its toes, Otis' victory doesn't take any long-term ramifications into account. The secret is out that Vince is in love with Otis' character, and his win at Money in the Bank provided the shocking moment Vince had hoped to achieve.
